Soldier Reunites with Stray Dog Who Never Forgot Him
The bonds formed during military service are often some of the strongest a person can experience. For former Army Specialist Ken Wyrsch, one of the deepest connections he formed while stationed overseas wasn’t with a fellow soldier, but with a stray dog named Ollie. While enduring the challenges of military life in Iraq, Ken found solace in an unexpected friendship that would change both of their lives forever.
While Ken was stationed at his base, a tiny stray puppy wandered in as if he knew he belonged there. Starving and vulnerable, the puppy approached the soldiers without hesitation.
