Most families expect their homes to be peacefully quiet once everyone has retired for the night. However, for one animal-loving family in Lincolnshire, nighttime has led to a series of unexpected and entertaining visits.
What started as curiosity about damaged furniture and disappearing pet food transformed into the unraveling of a delightful secret. The family decided to install a camera after noticing strange happenings around their home. What the footage revealed was an amusing cast of feline characters helping themselves to meals and toys, turning ordinary nights into an engaging saga.

Instead of discovering their own pets causing the mischief, the family found that a trio of neighborhood cats were regular nighttime visitors. These uninvited guests were exploring the property, enjoying catnip toys, and indulging in bowls meant for the household’s five cats and a dog.
Even more surprising was the indifference the intruding cats showed towards the resident animals. According to Simon Round, the family’s pets seemed unperturbed by the feline outsiders. The investigation started with the assumption that one of their pets had developed a bigger appetite. However, the camera revealed a different tale.
“We found it quite funny at first,” said Round. The family, devoted animal lovers, initially found the cats’ escapades a source of entertainment. However, the nightly visits soon became a consistent routine filled with surprises and laughter.
Clever Cats Outsmart Every Solution

Among the most frequent visitors was a black-and-white cat named Trigger, who had been reported missing on social media. Trigger was reunited with his family, but continued his nocturnal visits to the Round household, unable to give up a favorite destination.
In an attempt to put an end to these nocturnal incursions, the family installed a microchip-activated cat flap. Though it worked initially, these determined cats had other plans. They quickly learned to tailgate the family’s cats through the flap, showcasing their resourcefulness.
Additional regulars include a black-and-white cat named “Felix” and another called “Screaming Bob.” Despite efforts to identify their owners, the family remains mystified about where these two cats belong.

The nightly visits have not only created a living-room drama but also a warm, real-life soap opera featuring these clever cats and their escapades. While the mystery of their late-night callers remains unsolved, the family continues to enjoy documenting the nightly capers of their uninvited guests.
